Simply good Usenet
Usenet.org - Solid performance at a fair price

Test result Usenet.org
Positive
- Sufficient speed
- Unlimited flat rate
- Free test phase
- Fair price
Negative
- Unsuitable for beginners
- Customer service responds slowly
- Only 20 connections
Speed
8.5
In the speed test, Usenet.org delivers an above-average result. Our fiber optic line was always well utilized and never reached its limits.
In the test measurements, a constant average of 90 MB/s was measured, which is a very good result, but not a top result.
Services
8.9
Usenet.org offers its new customers a 14-day free trial period, including unlimited data volume. This allows the service to be tested in detail before a payment is due. There is no risk involved – termination is possible at any time. Please note that payment details must be entered for the test phase in order to carry out an automatic debit at the end of the test phase if you are satisfied with the service. Payment at Usenet.org is made exclusively via PayPal or credit card.
Usenet.org offers a retention time of over 5,400 days – a top service – there are hardly any providers with longer retention times.
Usenet.org attaches great importance to security and data protection. The provider has a strict no-logs policy, where no activity is tracked, and uses advanced 256-bit SSL encryption to protect user data.
Usenet.org’s only loss is in the number of connections: With 20 simultaneous connections, the provider misses out on a place in the top 3.
Customer support
6.9
If you need support, Usenet.org’s customer service is available via e-mail or telephone.
Our test support requests were always answered within 48 hours, which is a below-average result. We were able to cancel our test registration very easily by telephone, and the hotline does not offer any help with the setup.
Price-performance ratio
9.1
Usenet.org has a very simple offer, or to be more precise, there is only one product. The flat rate is unlimited and promises the best speeds. Speed tests have shown that the promise can definitely be kept, so the €8.33 per month offer can be attested a very good price-performance ratio, as long as you can accept compromises in support in return.
Conclusion on Usenet.org
The still relatively young Usenet provider from Switzerland proves to be convincing in many areas in the test: Great speed, unlimited flat rate, free trial version – and at a good price. However, you have to cut back on customer service, which makes Usenet.org rather unsuitable for beginners. A very good result cannot be achieved because the provider currently only provides 20 simultaneous connections.
